MARSH MEANDER

All our trails explore the wonderful wilderness of the Reydon Marshes. Marsh Meander begins at Old Hall Cafe and follows the footpath south towards the river Blyth, turning east towards Southwold harbour.

There is a wealth of bird life to see on our marshes including avocets, oyster catchers, greylag geese and terns. It is also a favourite for marsh harriers and a wide range of butterflies during the summer months.

The trail follows the banks of the river along the public footpath there, taking in our Nineteenth Century wind pump to the left of the river wall. The trail then turns north towards Reydon, the footpath running alongside Buss Creek Marsh. Work your way along the public footpath south of St Felix School, cutting back across the dykes and returning to Old Hall Café past the field of sunflowers.
