​​Join us at the cafe on Friday 3rd October for an evening of top notch live acoustic music as we welcome back Old Hall favourites Sam & Rich, aka brilliant Norfolk duo ‘The Muphetts’.
Bringing their huge repertoire of eclectic hits from great artists such as The Beatles, Oasis, Green Day, Jamie T, Paul Weller, Michael Jackson, Vanilla Ice (yep, Vanilla Ice!), The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Animals... if you’ve heard it, The Muphetts probably have it covered!
We'll be firing up the Park Pizza oven serving our fantastic menu of sourdough, stone baked pizzas and accompanying salads, and our counter will be open for the usual selection of hot drinks, soft drinks and boozy tipples.

We welcome back our friend and renowned local artist Andrew Pitt to Old Hall Cafe & Walks for another of his wonderful seasonal one-day workshops, exploring watercolour technique to help you capture the beauty, colour and nuance found within Autumn landscapes.

Taking advantage of our beautiful vistas and the peace and tranquillity of our site whilst the cafe is closed to the public, Andrew will guide you through the fundamentals of creating a fresh and lively watercolour with just the simplest of materials.
Whether you’re a beginner at the start of your journey into painting, or a more seasoned artist looking for a refresher course, through practical demonstrations and guidance, Andrew will aim to develop both your understanding and enjoyment of the medium.

We’re really proud to be hosting the Southwold Firewalk Challenge in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice who are looking for 100 brave souls to walk across hot coals!
Each fearless fire walker will need to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £25 and pledge to raise a minimum of £50. You'll receive a t-shirt and medal for completing the challenge, as well as a hot dog during your session!
Our communities are so fortunate to be supported by such an incredible organisation, yet their brilliant work can only continue thanks to fundraising and charitable donations.

Join us at Old Hall this November for our fantastic TWO-DAY Christmas Makers Market! With over 55 makers under the cover of our Big Barn, our FREE to enter market is the perfect place to start (and finish!) your Christmas shopping!
You’ll find an incredible selection of stalls featuring designers and makers across a huge variety of mediums: jewellery, ceramics, homeware, textiles, woodwork, fine art, cakes, cosmetics, greetings cards, fashion, glassware, candles and so much more!
There will be brilliant live music to help you bop whilst you shop and in our kids’ corner, you’ll find Santa's chief elf helping the wee ones write and post their letters to the big man, face painting by the lovely Laura from Moonbow, and weather permitting, we’ll have a very special visit from the gorgeous mini-donks from the Miniature Donkeys for Wellbeing charity.
The team from Churros and Chorizo will be bringing along their delicious street food truck serving breakfast butties in the morning followed by their mouthwateringly good, Spanish inspired burgers and churros.
Our lovely cafe will be open as usual serving breakfasts, lunches and great coffee, so with oodles of free onsite parking, the best of our regions designers and makers attending, AND free entry, make Old Hall your first stop for Christmas shopping this year and show your support for some fantastic local, independent businesses!

Old Hall friend and renowned local artist Andrew Pitt will be returning to Old Hall Cafe to lead a one-day workshop, guiding you through the creation of your own Christmas card design in watercolour. For many years Andrew has painted a personalised Christmas Card for his family and friends. The purpose of this one-day workshop is to inspire others to do something similar.
Taking advantage of the peace and tranquillity of our beautiful site whilst the cafe is closed to the public, Andrew will teach by demonstration and show how he goes about this simple but satisfying task. Participants will get individual support and guidance according to their experience and to help them realise their painting ideas.

After running her own floral design company within the home counties for 30 years, Donna moved to Suffolk and now freelances in floral design & demonstration and works within holistic wellbeing and mindfulness in nature.
​There will be an opportunity to purchase kits to take home, so you can create your own pieces with guidance from Donna’s demonstration, and her three completed beautiful arrangements will be entered into a raffle on the night, with all proceeds donated to Action Against Hunger.

This creative, relaxed and inspiring evening will be the perfect way to ease gently into the festive season in the welcoming surroundings of Old Hall Café.

If you're looking for a quiet night of chat then perhaps give this one a miss, as Darby's voice will yet again be blowing the roof off the cafe and giving us all goosebumps! The boys will have everyone up on their feet, shouting for more!
If you're feeling peckish, we'll be offering a great little menu of small plates to order from on the night and our counter will be open for all the usual boozy tipples, hot & soft drinks.
Food and drink available to purchase on the night at additional cost. Although dogs are usually welcome to our evening events, we wouldn't recommend that you bring your four legged friends along to this one!

The Old Hall BIG Christmas Quiz is back, and this year we'll be supporting the wonderful charity, Action Against Hunger!
Join us on Friday 19th December from 7pm for a sociable and relaxed evening of quizzing, good times and great food! If you've had your fill of name the reindeer questions and don't care how many pipers were piping, fear not, our quizzes are original and fun and a great night out!
